How can I purchase a ticket? |
|
It is possible to purchase a ticket on the
Airline’s Internet site (www.volawindjet.it) where one can easily and quickly
check availability and fares, and also end the transaction in total security,
paying on line by credit card (VISA and MasterCard).
Alternatively you can either contact the Call Centre on +39 89.2020, or call
into the airport ticket sales office or any appointed travel agency.
The Wind Jet Call Centre is open every day Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 9
p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

How much does it cost to phone the Call Centre? |
|
The costs from a land line are of € 0.96 per minute (including VAT) and of €
0.12 (including VAT) for the connection charge. The costs for the wireless
calls vary according to the operator used.

|
When you book on-line or through the Call Centre you can only pay by Visa and
MasterCard credit cards.
At the ticket desk it is possible to pay either by credit card, in cash, or by
cash card. For every transaction an admin fee will apply, which varies
according to the number of the passengers.
As far as the purchases made from a travel agency are concerned, it is
advisable to get all the information with regards to the methods of payment.
Generally speaking, travel agencies apply a charge for issuing a ticket.

The Italian airports ticket offices authorized to the sale of the Wind Jet
flights are Catania, Palermo, Roma, Milano Linate, Forlì, Verona, Pisa,
Bergamo, Parma, Venezia.

Which Identification Documents are accepted by Wind Jet at the
check-in? |
|
Passengers should arrive at the check-in desk
with a valid identity document with a photo on it. The documents accepted at
the check-in are the passport, the driving licence (only for domestic flights),
a valid identity card and the international student card with a photo.
National identity cards are accepted only if issued by a country participating
in the Schengen convention or by a country which has signed a bilateral
agreement with the countries adhering to such convention. In case of an
international flight, the document must be valid for the expatriation, even if
the flight is bound for a country within the Schengen area.

How can I have the reservation confirmation? |
|
Once you have purchased the ticket on-line,
it is visible on screen and therefore it will be possible to print it or to
insert in the appropriate e-mail space one’s e-mail address. In the latter
instance, a confirmation e-mail will be sent, in order to recap the details of
the flight which has been purchased and the reservation number.

|
Wind Jet uses the ticketless procedure. In
order to collect the boarding pass, it is sufficient to go the check-in desk
with the reservation code and a valid ID document.

The printable "booking confirmation" at the
end of the buying transaction is a valid and relevant tax document.

Is it possible to cancel a booking and get a refund? |
|
With the BEST fares cancellations are not allowed. Tickets bought but not used
are not refundable. It will be possible to do changes on e-tickets according to
the conditions enlisted on the contract of the airline only for the FLEX air
fare.

When and how do I check-in? |
|
The check-in opens 2 hours prior to
departure. It is advisable to check-in well in advance, as it closes 40 minutes
before departure. The passenger must go the boarding gate no later than 30
minutes before the flight departure. Should these rules not be complied with,
Wind Jet reserves the right to cancel the booking and refuse boarding. It is
necessary that the passenger shows up at the check-in desk with a valid ID and
with the booking code. Out of date documents will not be considered valid. The
check-in will not take place if the name of the passenger on the booking does
not correspond to the one on the ID, and in this case the passenger will not be
entitled to a refund. The name change on a ticket is allowed within and no
later than 3 hours before the flight, by paying a fee of 40 Euros each way and
per person. Such name change will affect the whole itinerary (i.e. return
journey).

Are there limitations to the weight of the Luggage? |
|
By paying only € 7 per piece of luggage, it
will be possible to check-in up to 3 pieces of luggage, for a maximum total
weight of 20 kilos. Any other pieces of luggage will be managed according to
the current regulations, i.e. the payment of € 10.00 at the airport for every
excess kilo.
Baggage transportation can be purchased as follows:

during the flight booking process;
-
after the ticket has been issued, either through the call-centre or via WEB, by
accessing the dedicated part of the site, up to 3 hours prior to the flight
departure.

at the airport ticketing offices, by paying the fee requested by the handler.
Only for the flights to and from Russia, and to and from France, it is allowed
to check-in a piece of luggage for free, with a maximum weight of 20 Kg per
passenger. Any possible excess weight € 10.00 per Kg. It is possible to take on
board a hand luggage of 10 Kg. max, 8 Kg max, for the flights in code share
with Meridiana if the latter is the actual carrier.

How much liquid can I take on board? |
|
According to the new ENAC Regulations, it is
allowed to take on board as part of the hand luggage only a small quantity of
liquids in containers with a capacity of 100 millilitres each, or of an
equivalent measure. The containers must be placed in a see-through, plastic bag
with the specified measurements, and it can be requested at the check-in desks.
Each passenger is only allowed one bag. It is also allowed to take on board
water and other drinks, perfumes, gel (for the hair, of cleansing products such
as bath foam and shower gel), pastes (toothpaste), mascara, creams, lotions and
body oils and sprays, the content of pressurised containers (including shaving
foams, other foams and deodorants), mixtures of liquids and solids, as well as
any other type of products with the same consistency. All the above mentioned
products can be carried as part of the hand luggage only in the quantities and
according to the regulations already mentioned.

It is not allowed to bring valuables,
dangerous or perishable goods. The following articles in particular must not be
taken as part of the luggage: fragile or perishable items, money, jewels,
silver items or valuables in general, samples or business documents,
explosives, ammunitions, fireworks and luminous rockets, liquid flammable
substances, such as lighters refills, dyes, thinners, or solid flammable items
like matches, compressed gases, abrasive materials, all the remaining flammable
materials, both liquid or solid, oxidizing materials (such as mercury, acids,
alkali and automobiles batteries), poisonous substances and pathogens,
radioactive materials, malodorous materials, and other dangerous goods.

Do I risk missing my flight because of overbooking? |
|
Am I at risk of not being able to depart
because of problems linked to an overbooking? It is not our policy to accept a
number of reservations higher than the number of seats available; however, in
case of a change of aircraft type with the subsequent reduction of available
seats, or operational limitations, Wind Jet will make sure the passengers are
compensated conforming with the Regulation no. 261/2004 if applicable, for the
denied boarding, and will guarantee a suitable assistance to whom accepts to
depart on a later flight. In this way it is possible to reduce the
inconvenience caused to all passengers.
